Mission of the Cincinnati Fire Museum
History/ Virtual Tour
The mission of the
Cincinnati Fire Museum is:
To preserve and exhibit Greater Cincinnati's
firefighting artifacts and present over 200
years of the Queen City's history to honor all
our heroic firefighters, past and present.
To present exhibits and education programs on fire prevention and "what to do in a fire emergency" with special attention to those who are most at risk: children, families, older people and the physically and mentally challenged.
To preserve and restore through creative reuse as a museum our 1906, National Register firehouse and to encourage and support historic preservation in Greater Cincinnati.
To be a part of and support the revitalization of Downtown Cincinnati and the inner city.
To contribute to Cincinnati's
tourism industry and cultural appeal as the
Museum Center of the Midwest.
